• Our "Substance Abuse Assessment" is  Unique. It is comprised of the first Home Drug Testing System.
• Approved to be sold over the counter (OTC) by the US FDA and the UK Medical Devices Agency. 
• You are in complete control of the administration and test results.
• The Test is of the highest quality and is conducted at a certified medical laboratory.
•  All positive test screens are confirmed with the latest state-of-the-art procedures. 
• In addition to the laboratory test, an evaluation of the home environment and referral recommendation is included as part of the process.
• Most important is that you are in complete control of the administration and results of the test.
• The test and services are completely "ANONYMOUS (see www.drbrowns.com)
• Digital Intake should be indicated on top of "Please Read Carefully" Unless applying Anonymously.

Cost of administering, scoring, and interpretation of tests:

Psychological testing involves administration, scoring, and interpretations of tests; as well as a written report and a verbal discussion about the test findings and recommendations.

We are a fee-for-service provider. Unless otherwise indicated office services are based on an hourly rate. The cost for a full assessment is determined by the total number of hours required to complete the full evaluation process, from testing time to written report and review session.

We will help you determine if only a few tests from the full battery, or out-of-office investigation, are needed to avoid any unnecessary and expensive procedures.

When payment is due:

• ​For comprehensive evaluations a partial payment is required on, or before, the day of testing.
• Balance is due after scoring, interpretation, and before releasing report and follow-up interview (approximately two (2) weeks after testing is completed).
• Payment can be made in cash, check or any major credit card.
• Speak with our Office Administrator to discuss financial source options other than those stated.

Medical insurance responsibility:

​Many insurance companies do not cover psychological testing, and those who do will typically only reimburse a portion of the costs.  It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to determine benefits. Upon request we will provide you with a statement of your account and billing codes for you to submit to insurance carriers for reimbursement of services rendered.  

Please note we do not assume any responsibility for the insurance company’s policies and procedures regarding reimbursement for services rendered nor do we submit paperwork to insurance companies.

Important Recommendation:

Ask the following, when you call your medical insurance carrier:

• Is the cost of psychological testing covered?
• Is there a deductible?
• What portion will be reimbursed?
• Is a referral needed from a primary care physician?
• Is pre-authorization required?

• Substance Abuse SAMHSA CERTIFIED LABORATORY TEST
• Forensic, Criminal,Civil, and Custody Evaluation Services

For Court Appearance: A minimum retainer is required for Court Time to be charged against an hourly rate,  plus travel expenses (food, hotel, mileage) at .50/mile for appearances more than fifty (50) miles from West Milford NJ.

We will do our best to avoid unnecessary costs and provide the best Clinical Service for your specific concerns.

Inquire about discounts if you are  Military, Veteran, Law Enforcement Officer, First Responder or Senior Citizen
