Your Concerns

1. Police and First Responders

Being a Police Officer, Firemen, and other First Responder (FR) is a very dangerous job. The dangers and stress of police/FR work never ends and it is ongoing. When the police/FR come home their experiences at work often come with them.

In addition, they encounter the same problems of life and living at home that we all experience(finances, marriage, child-rearing, health concerns, etc)and the next day they go back to work and the process starts all over again.

The stresses they experience are not only cumulative but contagious since their wives, children, and family also worry and experience anxiety until the police officer returns home.

Although the anxiety and stress experienced by police and other FRs are not always openly expressed they are manifested in multiple health and mental health problems,(ie, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, anxiety substance abuse, etc).

Because police/FR physical and mental health are constantly challenged they require special ( not common) mental health evaluation, treatment, and support.

We try to provide police/FR with evaluations and support that address Their unique work and personal stress experiences. The evaluations are ultra-confidential and provide practical recommendations to help police/FR cope with the stress of their job and maintain employability consistent with the realities of their work.
